About Us
The Alliance for Business Leadership is a coalition of business leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, and professionals at all levels who believe that social responsibility and economic growth go hand-in-hand. Since our founding in 2007, we have shared a commitment to creating growth, opportunity, and a more equitable society for everyone.
ABL was founded by a group of business leaders in Massachusetts looking to become a powerful voice in the business community by leading the way in social responsibility. Together, we confront the challenges that pose the biggest threats to economic growth in Massachusetts, including climate change, inequitable public transportation, and a growing housing crisis. ABL convenes business, civic, and advocacy leaders, provides thought leadership, and drives change by developing innovative and responsible solutions to spur economic growth in the commonwealth. The Alliance for Business Leadership (ABL) is 501 (c)(3) nonprofit.
Since its establishment, ABL has been involved in some of the most significant societal leaps forward in the Commonwealth, including paid family and medical leave, increasing the minimum wage, establishing gender pay equity legislation, and increasing climate technology procurements. ABL believes that effective government and smart public policy are critical to creating a sustainable economy in which businesses and people can flourish.
